Question by : Is there any good digital photography forum for beginners like me?
I am new to photography and would like to find a useful and friendly on-line forum, especially if most of the members are in MN. Otherwise an educational and beginner friendly digital photography forum would be nice.

I am not sure who it is made by it is a DXG.
I will be using it to catch more of my daughter’s life.

i had a nixon cool pics camera or whatever its called, but it broke. so i am now wanting to get a new one. i also discovered how much i love taking pictures. i am a camera whore i guess to. i can take up to 200 pictures of myself in 20 minutes. im not obsessed with myself i just love photography. anyways i want a new camera that is good for beginner photography. but also not expensive. my price range would probably be at the most $ 250. any good ones you know?

the coolpix is about as advanced as your going to get for 250 bucks. All the entry level Dslr’s are in the $ 500 range. I would save up that money for awhile! also you wont be able to get anything with a swivel live view, like the coolpix has

Learning photography requires some reading and getting to know your equipment. I would suggest that, once you have made your purchase choice (*Nikon*) based on ergonomics and lens quality (*Nikkor*), you will want to sit down with your Owners Manual and Camera together and get to know the controls.
The additional reading will help you to understand to an increasing degree, how the aperture and shutter integrate with each other to produce special compositional considerations when making photography decisions on how to best present your images to others (getting the reaction, stimulating response… selling your work).
There are a number of books so recommending an Author without compensation is something I will not do… why should I make them richer if they aren’t paying me for promotion?

In this video I am talking about/reviewing my new camera which is a Logitech HD Webcam C270. You can see the quality for yourself (as I’m obviously using it to film the video!) I would really recommend this camera if you are looking for a good quality webcam but you don’t want to spend much money.
