Question by LovingIt(:: What camera would you recommend for a photography beginner?
I’m intrested in photography and I am just wondering what camera you would recommend for a beginner? 10mp + please and the less the better.
I am aware of megapixels and I would like more than ten because my compact camera is 10.2 and if I’m getting a new camera for more money, I want it to be better than my current for a lot of reasons.

I am back with another installment of the AdoramaPIX Rapid Fire Critique. This weeks images were captured with a Nikon D50 which is slightly older but as the photographer shows, it is still fully capable. I was really excited to see a nice cross section of subjects in this weeks Critique. I feel the photographer is really seeing the shots and doing a great job capturing them. Sure there are a few shots that missed the mark but that is the point of a critique. To help the photographer see where the images could be improved. My favorite image form the set is the shot of the little kid on the fence. Like I said in the video it is close, with a few little tweaks that image would be taken to the next level. Overall this was a solid set of images and I look forward to seeing what the photographer will come up with in the future. froknowsphoto.com Click Here to submit your images. froknowsphoto.com As I continue with the AdoramaPix Rapid Fire Critiques I cam upon this little set of photos. I love what this photographer is capturing. They are seeing the moments very well and grabbing them. That is one of the biggest things I talk about, being able to see, feel and anticipate the moments that you want to capture. You could study settings all day long but if you never actually take a picture you wont really learn. As you will see in this critique there are some images that are stronger than other but I try and give my honest feedback based off of my background. If you would like to submit your best 10 images for critique please use the submit photos button.

Today we look at the second aspect of exposure- shutter speed. Shutter speed is what can help you freeze fast-moving subjects, but also have some trade off when it comes to how much light is being let in. Watch this video for all the details

the coolpix is about as advanced as your going to get for 250 bucks. All the entry level Dslr’s are in the $ 500 range. I would save up that money for awhile! also you wont be able to get anything with a swivel live view, like the coolpix has

I took this during a trip to Japan over four years ago with my old 2.0 mega pixel Sony Cybershot. I just came across this again, and though the resolution isn’t very good, realized it isn’t a half bad street photograph. I’d like to crop some off the right-hand side of the frame, but that’d be about it.
